Belgian Researchers Repair Bones Using Stem Cells From Fatty Tissue

Reuters reports that Belgian researchers from the Saint Luc university clinic hospital in Brussels have developed a new technique to repair bones using stem cells from fatty tissues. A sugar cube sized piece of fatty tissue is removed from the patient during the procedure. The material created in the lab from the fatty tissue can then be molded to fill a bone fracture. A spin-off company has been founded to commercialize the new technique. Take a look:
